Happy St, Pancake’s day!
You swear that you will write a blog entry every week ( or at least every fortnight) but then life and work gets in the way...
Anyway enough of that. Suffice to say that the last two months have been very busy for SparkQual.
We won the two Market research excellence awards.
One for Advertising and Creative development for work we did on the HB Random acts of happiness campaign. Check out the campaign here...http://www.tvads.ie/ads/1003-hb-random-acts-of-happiness-office
And another award for Excellence in Qualitative research for the brand development research we did for Birds Eye. We were particularly chuffed to win this one because it was the inaugral Qual research excellence award (They really need to find an abbreviation for these awards - The advertising peeps have the Shark awards, what would be a good name for the research awards? Answers on a postcard please)
Subsequently we gave a presentation on the SparkQual way to a group of Marketing society hard core members - this seems to have gone down well. We hope it was for the message we were trying to convey but we readily admit that using Don Draper (Mad Man) as a conduit for that message probably helped us out. Don thinks that occasionnaly us Quallies "stick our fingers in people's brains and wiggle them about until they talk" - hopefully we proved that at SparkQual we take the wiggling process very seriously!
More news to follow in the next week or so...
In the meantime - here is a nice recipe for pancakes for this evening...yum yum - enjoy
Ray Darcy Senior's stupendous pancakes
2 cups of flour (that’s 8 oz)
2 eggs
Pinch of either salt or sugar (depending on what sort of pancake you like)
Pint of liquid broken down as follows; two thirds milk, one third water
Method:
Sift the flour. Whisk the eggs and add them to the flour. Now add the liquid slowly. Leave to stand for half an hour. Gently whisk before using.
That’s it!
